Too often, funds intended for institutions don't directly reach the dedicated individuals who pour their hearts and souls into the daily work. The Schoolys is our way of showing deep appreciation to school staff for all they do to protect and nurture our most valuable assets: our youth.
Every year, school staff work tirelessly to protect the possibility of our most valuable assets - our youth.
On average, 23% of teachers left their school in the 2022-23 school year, and teacher turnover is reaching new highs across the U.S.
Let’s combat those stats by affirming, honoring, and protecting the protectors, starting with the staff at our local public schools.
The Schoolys is a platform centered around affirming, honoring & protecting the protectors.
On June 25th 2024, the Schoolys surprised 50 unsuspecting school staff (including teachers, teachers’ aids, lunch staff, and bus drivers) at Teachers College Community School (TCCS) with a $150,000 self-care grant: $3,000 for each staff member to spend on self-care and career development.

Institutional funding often fails to directly benefit the individuals who dedicate themselves daily to vital work. We want to express our profound appreciation for school staff and their invaluable commitment to safeguarding the potential of our youth.
What’s Next
Over the months and years to come, we’ll turn our attention to the physical space and the curriculum–enhancing their facilities and helping secure relevant, real-world talent to spice up their clubs and courses. We’ll also provide dedicated grant writers to help the school receive continued support in the years to come.
